Are natural oils better than synthetic oil? Which are more effective than the other? What is the composition of both two oils? This article explains the difference between natural oil and synthetic oil.
According to Brynjolfsson & Mcafee (2017), one may conclude that natural oils may be legit or of a higher quality while synthetic is cheaply a simple imitation. An individual may differentiate natural and synthetic CBD from their extraction methods. Natural oils are directly extracted from cannabis Sativa, while synthetic oils are created biologically or chemically in the labs by using yeast. Also, synthetic oils and other compounds become useful in manufacturing drugs and other products. Just like the natural CBD oil isolate, synthetic CBD is also crystalline and in powdered form.
Natural CBD has strict controls from UN conventions on Narcotic Substances, while synthetic compounds have less. Only CBD products with a THC content of 0.2% and below are not within international control. Synthetic oils are also not subject to controlled narcotics internationally since it has nothing to do with the cannabis plant, either its fruiting top or flowering. Many companies currently manufacture CBD synthesis, including the THC component. According to Baron (2018), some of the common side effects of THC are feeling "high," severe headaches, poor memory, and red eyes. Nearly all manufacturers are of the keen quality of CBD products. Brands are keen on THC levels to affirm that they do not exceed the required percentage. It makes synthesis as effective and efficient as the natural CBD.
According to Potter (2014), CBD synthesis is more advantageous as its extraction process involves fewer chemicals than gas extraction or C02. Its manufacturing is also so that there is minimal risk of residual harmful substances like herbicides and the fungus within the extract. This process makes synthetic compounds uniformly identical and also pure. Manufacturing synthetic products may also be efficient in saving resources since not many procedures, processes, and an individual may require time. The other one is where one plants and takes care of the plant until they flower or their best seasons for harvest. Synthetic product is quite efficient but less sophisticated.
Although it is manufactured chemically, synthetic CBD contains the same components as natural CBD. Having the same elements implies that the products' effectiveness is equally the same. Both products guarantee the same mood and health benefits in terms of the consumers' desired effect during the products as the same also brings about the issue of purity of both products. It gives the synthetic product an upper hand since extraction of natural CBD requires a purification process whereby several other compounds should be removed from the hemp plant so that the final product would come out pure. Natural and herbal extract sounds great, and one may feel safe consuming or using such products over synthetic ones. But synthetic ones use environmentally friendly extraction methods and fewer chemicals than the natural counterpart's extraction process. Reduced risks of cancers due to mycotoxins since there are no residues. They are consistent and free from pesticides meaning they are pure. Most supplements bought over-the-counter, like vitamin C and D, are mostly synthetic products produced in the lab. The same case for CBD, but the synthetic compounds work the same way as the natural CBD. The synthesized component is usually 100% chemically identical to the natural component. Thus, this component contains not the terpenes that come with natural CBD. Terpenes mostly add flavor to the natural product, so it may not be a big deal since the effect is present.
Coban (2014) states that synthetic cannabinoids also had a bad reputation due to the poor-quality product earlier manufactured. The synthetic products produced were THC analogs as they termed this synthetic component as nasty and analogous to acting on THC receptors. Their chemical synthesis brought about the formation of nature-identical CBD. It ensured that it carried all the effects of natural CBD. It makes it stronger than it can even cause psychosis.
As much as more work is done to improve the quality of the different products, the guiding force is always the patient or customer preference. Synthetic may prove cheaper and more effective than the natural CBD us many consumers will still prefer the natural CBD. Many clients turned to CBD because it is a natural alternative to other medicinal components full of chemicals that are believed to have vast side effects on the body.
The natural CBD is extracted directly from the hemp plant giving it an upper hand over the synthesized compound. Most people believe that natural products have better health effects and can be used for solving vast health issues than synthesized ones. Natural products contain other elements that are not impurities that may not be synthetically manufactured, making them even more effective for the user. The human race evolved with cannabis many years ago. As years passed, they got to interact with the plant to its legalization. People enjoy the benefits brought about by using the product in its different versions. Users can say that we have come from a period of dark ages and social stigmas involved with CBD production.
Everyone else has the attitude that we all shy away from synthetic products as bad while we term the natural ones as good. This ideology is quite misguided. Individual CBD industry matured and evolved in terms of benefits and side effects. CBD synthesis is seen as an efficient way to achieve consistency and purity and solve challenges to allow more customers to select varieties on advantages of the hemp plant.
