Face serums with CBD are often constructed of a mild composition including active compounds, including cannabidiol, which nourishes, protects, and moisturizes the skin. After cleaning and moisturizing, face serums are often applied to the face as part of a standard skin care regimen. However, face serums are not a substitute for moisturizing products. To keep moisture in the skin, moisturizers have a thicker or heavier consistency.
Serums come in a variety of forms. Water-based and oil-based formulations are also possible. Under moisturizers, water-based serums function better than oil-based serums on top of moisturizers. The following are the most often found active compounds in facial serums:
Skin cell regeneration and collagen production may be boosted by taking Vitamin C, an antioxidant that has been shown to aid. Skin brightening properties of Vitamin C are also well-documented. Hyaluronic Acid is a difficult-to-pronounce substance, yet it has all the benefits of a great skincare component. Hyaluronic Acid aids in skin hydration and nourishment. Sagging skin, dry skin, and fine wrinkles are all symptoms of aging and environmental conditions that weaken the skin's capacity to retain moisture. Hyaluronic Acid's ability to hold 1,000 times its weight in water is an excellent hydration booster for the skin. Adding Vitamin A, or Retinol, to your skin care regimen may help rejuvenate your complexion and give you a more youthful appearance. Goyal & Jerold (2021) noted that it helps keep the skin clean by fighting the development of oil and dead or damaged skin cells by using Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) - natural acids found in citrus fruits like lemon and grapefruit. As with Vitamin A, peptides assist the skin's natural amino acids and strengthen its strength, which in turn helps to improve collagen formation and promote cell healing. These are the most popular components in face serums, although there are a few more options.
In the morning and the evening, most face serums may be safely used daily. It's critical, though, to carefully follow the package’s directions and ensure that nothing else in your skincare regimen interferes with the active components in your face serum.
Since cannabidiol works with the body's Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to help maintain homeostasis, or a healthy equilibrium between the body’s neurological systems and the external environment, Skaper & Di Marzo (2012) explained that it might help keep the body healthy. It also helps to maintain the homeostasis of your skin to keep it in good health. If your ECS isn't getting the support it needs, it may lead to various skin problems, such as eczema and dermatitis. Endocannabinoids, enzymes, and receptors are the three primary components of the ECS. Naturally occurring endocannabinoids interact with cannabinoid receptors in the brain and peripheral nerve systems.
Introducing CBD into the ECS helps offset the degradation of endocannabinoids naturally generated by the body. Endocannabinoids are a kind of phytocannabinoid that imitate the effects of endocannabinoids, but enzymes do not break down CBD in the same manner that the endocannabinoids do. The fact that it cannot attach to cannabinoid receptors explains why it has no psychoactive effect (i.e., it does not get you "high"). If you're looking to improve your skin's health and appearance, CBD is an excellent choice. For skin health, cannabidiol, for example, has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities.
Yamasaki et al. (2007) established that finding solutions that help decrease and eradicate localized inflammation is essential for healthy skin in conditions like acne, eczema, and rosacea. For the treatment of skin inflammation, CBD-enriched ointment is effective. Immune cells that cause inflammation may be induced to move by CBD. Baron et al. (2018) noted that this is also why CBD effectively treats arthritis and other forms of joint and muscle pain. CBD face serum may help to relieve inflammation in the skin naturally by working with the body's ECS. You may benefit from natural anti-inflammatory components by using CBD face serum straight to clean skin.
Face serums containing CBD, like the others, may help hydrate and rejuvenate skin that has become dry due to the aging process. CBD and hyaluronic acid are anti-aging when taken together. Antioxidants slow down the oxidation chemical process. A chemical mechanism called oxidation releases free radicals, which in turn cause damage to cells, resulting in skin aging. Hyaluronic acid, as previously stated, aids in moisture retention. Adding CBD, which reduces inflammation, may give your skin a youthful glow. Tura et al. (2019) explained that antioxidant effects found in CBD are extremely similar to those found in vitamins C and E in composition. CBD's antioxidants work to combat free radicals to keep your skin looking young. Face serums like CBD Hyaluronic Acid may be compared to superheroes since they include all of the necessary elements in a single serum rather than requiring many serums. CBD Face Serum may be used on the face the same way as any other face serum and is completely safe. Skin that has been affected by acne or eczema can benefit from using this after cleansing and before moisturizing as part of your regular skincare regimen. Besides relieving joint and muscle pain, the moisturizing components in CBD pain lotion helps maintain skin soft and moisturized on the body.
Acne-fighting properties of CBD have been shown as well. Although many reasons contribute to the development of acne, including hormone imbalances, heredity, stress levels, various medications, and so on, blocked pores are one of the primary culprits. To cure acne, CBD oil works by altering the body's production of sebum.
Any new skincare product should be tested on a tiny area of skin that is less apparent to ensure there are no reactions to CBD face serum or CBD Hyaluronic Acid. If you're using a product that contains active substances, read the ingredients carefully. Broad-spectrum, Full-spectrum, or CBD isolates may be found in CBD products. Full-spectrum CBD oil includes all of the cannabinoids, flavonoids (plant chemicals found in fruits), terpenes (aromatic oils) present in the cannabis or hemp plant, and a small amount of THC. Because the THC has been removed, the cannabinoids in broad-spectrum CBD oil are a little more diverse. While CBD isolates are the purest form of CBD, they do not include any other compounds in cannabis or hemp. Adding CBD Face Serum to your arsenal of skincare products is nothing new. The anti-inflammatory serum that works with the body's ECS to reduce inflammation, which is the fundamental cause of many skin disorders, naturally produces benefits. It may be time to clear some space on your skincare shelf for this product.
